Movie star Marisa Tomei made her debut in the late 80s "teen power" bomb movie Playing For Keeps, which was filmed in Hawley and parts of Honesdale PA.  This is a great movie to have, not because the story is good (it's very lame) but because it's a terrific snapshot of the Hawley I grew up in!
